Who is Colin?

In March 2023 I gave up a successful practice at the Bar to devote my time to mediation> I was accredited by CEDR in 2000. Before being called to the Bar in 1997, I spent 15 years as a trade union officer. At the Bar I specialised in employment and discrimination law. Now, using my professional skills as a negotiator, I am a full time commercial and community mediator. My wide-ranging practice includes disputes concerning property, wills, pensions, contracts, neighbours, landlord and tenant as well as the full range of employment and discrimination issues. 

Professional memberships
I am a member of the Association of Northern Mediators and the Civil Mediation Council so I am bound by their respective codes of conduct and The European Code of Conduct for Mediators. I am also an advisor to the Board of Yorkshire Mediation Services, a charity offering services to community groups and not-for-profit organisations.> My voluntary work for them is very important to me
